All I want for Christmas, is you.

The rain soaked us to the skin. Cold as ice, the winds pierced through our body as we sat closer to each other, more for the contact than for warmth. As we waited for the cold spell to pass, we felt the cycles of destiny rotating, spinning against the odds of life.

The droplets of rain pounded against the surface of the puddles, creating ripples that resonate and trembles. The tall grasses swayed to the rhythm, further encouraged by the whipping of the strong winds. All around us, sprites whispered and cooed, driven by envy and jealousy.

I smiled as you gave off a tired sigh, for the journey has taken a toil on your beautiful feathered wings. Brushing the raindrops off your arm, I stopped to wonder about our destiny and where it would lead us. Whether it would take us down a path of lights and dreams, or a path towards desolation, it remains to be seen.

But now that you are back, I have an angel as my guide, as my light. And that’s all it matters in a world of darkness. Because right now, all I want, is you.
